The AgiBot X2 self-righting and performing on stage. Manufacturer footage.

Nothing stops a trade show aisle like a humanoid robot. People pull out their phones, crowds form, and your booth becomes the one everyone talks about at dinner. For AI, software, robotics and technology brands, a humanoid is also on-message in a way no giveaway can match.

This guide compares every humanoid robot we sell for trade show booths, exhibits and live events: what each one costs, how your team creates its content, which ones walk on their own or hand out items, how to plan a full show day, and how to buy. Every model is legal to import and sell in the United States, and every price is current.

Four Questions That Pick the Robot

Question 1

Who runs it?

If your marketing or events team runs it, choose the AgiBot X2 line and its no-code tools. Unitree's custom content needs a developer.

Question 2

Does it need to say your lines?

Scripted greetings and product messages point to the X2 or X2 Ultra. App presets on the R1, G1 and H2 cover dances and gestures, not your script.

Question 3

Staged or roaming?

Most booths run the robot in a marked zone with an operator. For a robot that greets at the entrance and walks a route on its own, choose the X2 Ultra.

Question 4

Does it hand anything out?

Cards, swag and certificates need hands. That means the X2 Ultra with OmniHand dexterous hands.

AgiBot X2 and X2 Ultra: Built for Exhibitions

The AgiBot X2 was designed for exactly the job a booth needs done. It stands 1.31 m (4 ft 4 in), has 30+ animated facial expressions on its face display, recognizes faces, gestures and body movement, responds to touch, and runs a library of dances and choreographed routines. It self-rights from the floor, and several units can run a synchronized routine from one operator.

  • Your team builds greetings, speeches and routines in LinkSoul and LinkCraft. LinkCraft turns an ordinary video of a person moving into robot motion, so a new dance takes a phone video, not a programmer.
  • Driven from a handheld remote and the AgiBot app, which is exactly how most booths want a robot run.
  • Ships with the robot, battery, charger, handheld remote, a wireless microphone and app access.

The best value in booth robotics. It delivers the full show for $15,000 less than the Ultra. Choose the Ultra when the robot must walk on its own or hand things out.

Unitree R1, G1 and H2: Spectacle at Every Budget

Unitree humanoids are the robots behind the viral videos. Out of the box they run Unitree's preset motions, dances and onboard AI from the app and remote, which makes them strong crowd-pullers at lower prices. Custom scripts on Unitree require an Edu model and a developer.

  • A real walking humanoid at 1.23 m (4 ft) and 27 to 29 kg, light enough for two people to carry into a booth.
  • Onboard speech and vision AI with a 4-microphone array and speaker, so it walks, gestures, talks and reacts out of the box.
  • The R1 Basic adds a depth camera, an articulated waist and head and 26 degrees of freedom.
  • The R1 Edu Smart ($18,900) adds the SDK and onboard compute for teams that want to build custom behavior.

Plan the batteries: about 1 hour per pack, so bring spares at $750 each for a full show day.

  • The longest runtime here at about 3 hours per battery ($3,000 spares).
  • A showstopper on a stage, at a keynote or in a large island booth.

Plan the space: the H2 powers on from its protective stand and needs 2 m (6.6 ft) of clearance while it moves, so it belongs on a stage rather than in a busy aisle.

Creating the Robot's Content

What the robot says and does is what visitors remember, so how your team builds that content matters as much as the hardware.

Robot How content is made Who can do it
AgiBot X2 and X2 Ultra LinkSoul for persona, voice and knowledge; LinkCraft turns a video of a person into robot motion; exhibition presentation tools for narration, expressions and positioning Your marketing or events team, no code
Unitree R1 Air, R1 Basic, G1, H2 Unitree's preset motions, dances and onboard AI, run from the app and remote Any trained operator
Unitree R1 Edu Smart, G1 Edu Custom behavior through Unitree's SDK in Python or C++ A developer

A simple path on any robot: record your key lines as audio and trigger them from the app or wireless microphone while the robot gestures. To a visitor it looks fully scripted.

What a Humanoid Does at a Booth

Stop the aisle

Greeting

Wave, greet by face and invite visitors in. This alone fills the booth.

Timed shows

A dance or demo on the hour builds a crowd your staff can then talk to.

On-message

Product intros

A scripted 30-second pitch that hands visitors to your sales team.

Shareable

Photo moments

Visitors post the robot, with your logo and booth in frame.

Hands

Swag and cards

An X2 Ultra with hands hands over a card or gift, which people remember.

After the show

Content and visits

Office lobbies, recruiting events, customer visits and social video between shows.

Keep the division of labor clear: the robot draws the crowd and delivers the message, and your staff qualify leads and scan badges. Games, scoring and lead capture run on your booth staff and tablets.

Planning a Full Show Day

  • Batteries: a show day runs 8 to 10 hours. At about 2 hours per pack, an X2 or G1 needs 4 to 5 swaps a day; an R1 at about 1 hour needs more. Two spare packs on a charger cover most days.
  • Performance zone: mark a clear zone of at least 2 x 2 m (6.6 x 6.6 ft) inside the booth, away from the aisle edge. The H2 needs 2 m of clearance on every side.
  • Floor: show floors are carpet over concrete. Test gaits and routines on carpet before the show.
  • Operator: assign one trained person to own the robot for the whole show, with the remote in hand.
  • Sound: show floors are loud. Run scripted content and use the wireless microphone for live moments.
  • Charging station: plan a power outlet and a secure spot behind the booth for batteries and the charger.

Shipping, Setup and Lead Time

The 1.2 to 1.3 m robots (R1, G1 and X2) ship in protective cases, and the G1 folds for travel. The H2 ships on its protective stand and needs stage handling. Book freight and venue drayage with the rest of your booth equipment, and plan lithium battery handling with your carrier.

Lead time is the constraint to manage first. The show date cannot move. Get a written lead time on your quote, then add at least two weeks before the show to build content and rehearse on carpet.

Buy or Rent, and How to Buy

Renting suits a single show. Buying wins when you exhibit three or more times a year, or when the robot will greet visitors in your lobby, appear at recruiting and customer events and star in social content between shows. Owned robots also mean your content and routines stay ready for the next show.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best humanoid robot for a trade show booth?
The AgiBot X2 at $27,999. It has 30+ animated facial expressions, recognizes faces and gestures, runs a dance and motion library, and your marketing team builds greetings, speeches and routines in no-code tools. The X2 Ultra at $42,999 adds autonomous walking and optional hands.

How much does a humanoid robot for events cost?
From $6,870 for the Unitree R1 Air to $42,999 for the AgiBot X2 Ultra, with the AgiBot X2 at $27,999 the usual sweet spot for booths. Add a spare battery to every option, because a show day outlasts any single charge.

Can a booth robot say our own script?
Yes. On the AgiBot X2 and X2 Ultra your team writes and records the lines in no-code tools and pairs them with gestures and expressions. On Unitree humanoids, custom speech needs an Edu model with SDK access, such as the R1 Edu Smart at $18,900, and someone who codes.

Can the robot walk around our booth on its own?
The AgiBot X2 Ultra maps the space once and then walks routes on its own while avoiding people. Every other humanoid here is driven by an operator with a remote or app, which most booths prefer in a crowded aisle anyway.

Can a humanoid hand out items or brochures?
Yes, on the AgiBot X2 Ultra with optional OmniHand dexterous hands from $4,999 per hand. Handing over light items like cards, swag or certificates is a realistic booth moment. The base X2 and Unitree R1 have no hands.

How long does a humanoid robot battery last at a trade show?
About 1 hour on the Unitree R1, 2 hours on the AgiBot X2, X2 Ultra and Unitree G1, and 3 hours on the Unitree H2. Every model uses a swappable battery, so plan spare packs to cover an 8 to 10 hour show day.

Does the robot need Wi-Fi at the venue?
Movement, expressions and stored routines run on the robot. Plan to confirm network needs for any cloud-based conversation features on your quote, and run scripted content on a loud show floor rather than relying on open conversation.

Will voice recognition work on a loud show floor?
Show floors are loud, so the strongest booth setups run scripted greetings and routines triggered by the robot's face recognition or the operator, with a wireless microphone for live moments. Open conversation works best in a quieter demo area.

Is a humanoid safe in a crowded booth?
Yes, run the way manufacturers intend: a trained operator with the remote in hand, a marked performance zone, and the robot sitting or stopped when crowds press in. The full-size Unitree H2 needs 2 m of clearance and belongs on a stage.

Humanoid or robot dog for a booth?
A humanoid wins when brand impression, photos and press matter, especially for AI and technology companies. A robot dog is cheaper and tougher. Our trade show robot guide compares both.

How far ahead should we order a booth robot?
Get a written lead time before you commit and build in at least two weeks before the show for scripting and rehearsal. The show date cannot move, so lead time is the constraint to manage first.

Should we buy or rent a robot for a trade show?
Rent for a single show. Buy when you exhibit at three or more shows a year or want the robot for office visits, recruiting events and social content between shows. Most buyers reuse it far more than they planned.

How do we ship a humanoid robot to a show?
The 1.2 to 1.3 m robots (Unitree R1, G1 and AgiBot X2) ship in protective cases and the G1 folds for transport. Book freight and venue drayage like any booth equipment, and carry spare batteries according to your carrier's lithium rules.

Are these robots legal to buy in the US?
Yes. Every model here holds an FCC authorization granted before the July 28, 2026 Covered List rule: AgiBot X2 and X2 Ultra 2BTPT-LX2501, Unitree R1 2A5PE-YUSHU010, G1 2A5PE-YUSHU008 and H2 2A5PE-YUSHU012.

Can we put our branding on the robot?
Yes. Wraps, branded clothing and booth signage around the robot are common. The X2 Ultra also takes an optional textured skin set at $799, and its screen and voice persona can carry your messaging.

Do you accept corporate purchase orders?
Yes, as paperwork against our formal quote. Payment is by ACH or wire on acceptance, with credit card available.

Can we see the robot before we buy?
Yes. Ask for a live virtual demo when you request a quote.
