Consumer Priority Service (CPS) is one of the most established product protection providers in the United States. How It Works
- Purchase your drone and add CPS protection. Coverage begins on your date of purchase; CPS takes over on day 31. Available as a 1-year or 2-year plan on any drone we sell.
- We register your plan. Global Drone HQ registers your coverage with CPS, and you receive your CPS Warranty Number and client portal access at cpscentral.com.
- File a claim anytime, any way. By phone, email, SMS, chat, or the online portal, whichever is easiest.
- Ship your drone in for service. The factory-authorized team handles the repair once received, at CPS's Drone Repair Center or directly with the manufacturer.
- Back in the air. Repaired or replaced, your drone is returned ready to fly, with a typical 3 to 4 day repair turnaround.
Filing a Claim

Have your CPS Warranty Number, aircraft serial number, and receipt ready. A low deductible, set by your drone's price tier, applies at the time of claim, and you can file unlimited claims until total repair costs reach your original purchase price.

Does the plan cover crashes caused by pilot error?
Yes. Accidental damage from crashes, drops, and impacts is exactly what the plan is designed for, including incidents that are your fault. This is the coverage manufacturer warranties do not provide.
Are commercial and enterprise drones covered?
Yes. Consumer, commercial, and enterprise drones are all eligible under the same plan, which makes it a fit for public safety agencies, inspection teams, and drone service providers.
Are batteries and propellers covered?
No. Batteries and propellers are consumable items and are excluded, as are accessories that did not come in the manufacturer's box. The aircraft, camera, and gimbal are covered.
When does coverage start?
Your plan is active from the purchase date. There is a 30-day claims hold to prevent DOAs and manufacturer defects, which your manufacturer warranty covers; CPS claims open on day 31 and run for the length of your 1-year or 2-year term.
How many claims can I file?
Unlimited claims during your coverage term, until total repair costs reach your original purchase price. Coverage continues after each repair.
Who repairs my drone?
Factory-authorized technicians only, OEM-trained and using genuine parts. Repairs happen at CPS's Drone Repair Center or directly with the manufacturer, with a typical 3 to 4 day turnaround. Loaner units are not provided, so fleet operators may want a spare aircraft for zero-downtime operations.
What happens if my drone cannot be repaired?
CPS provides replacement options based on your program terms, or buys the unit out at full replacement value, up to your original purchase price.
Does coverage transfer to a replacement drone?
No. If your aircraft is replaced, the new unit requires its own protection plan. Ask us and we will quote coverage for the replacement.
What is the deductible?
A low deductible applies at the time of claim, set by your drone's price tier. When we quote your plan, we include the exact deductible for your aircraft so there are no surprises.
How do I file a claim?
