G1 Edu Ultimate (configs) $55,900 to $73,900
G1 Edu Boxing / Combat $63,900

Prices last verified August 2026.

If those tiers look confusing, they are. We wrote a dedicated breakdown of what each G1 tier actually adds, from SDK access to NVIDIA Jetson compute, dexterous hands, and teleoperation: see the G1 configurations guide. Short version: hobbyists and demo buyers want the base G1 or G1 Pro, while serious research programs almost always land in the Edu range.

Why Do Some Sites Say the G1 Costs $16,000?

Because they are quoting a number from early 2025. When the G1 launched, a $16,000 figure based on direct-from-China pricing circulated widely, and it still gets repeated by articles and AI summaries that have not been updated since. That figure was never a US-delivered price. It excluded international shipping, import duties, and any US-based support or warranty service, and it predates the current configuration lineup entirely. As of August 2026, the Unitree G1 sells for $21,600 in the US through authorized distribution, delivered with US-based warranty and repair support. If a site quotes a G1 price far below that, check the date on the article and ask what the number actually includes.

Unitree H2 full-size humanoid demonstrating balance
The full-size H2 humanoid demonstrating dynamic balance.

H2: The Full-Size Humanoid

The H2 is Unitree's full-size humanoid platform for labs working on human-scale manipulation and locomotion. It stands 1.82 m tall, weighs approx. 70 kg, offers 31 degrees of freedom, and runs approx. 3 hours per charge. Compute is an Intel Core i5 on the standard model and an i7 on the H2 Edu, with an optional NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor (2,070 TOPS) for AI workloads. As of August 2026, the Unitree H2 sells for $40,900 in the US and the H2 Edu, with expanded development access, sells for $68,900.

Unitree As2 quadruped on rocky terrain
Between the Go2 and the industrial B2: the As2 handling rough outdoor terrain.

A2 and As2: The Middle of the Quadruped Range

Between the Go2 and the industrial B2 sit two quadruped lines. The A2 series runs $31,900 to $46,900 and targets heavier payloads and longer missions than the Go2 can handle. It carries an IP56 rating, operates from -20°C to 55°C, runs over 5 hours (approx. 20 km) unloaded on dual hot-swap 9,000 mAh batteries, supports a 100 kg standing load, handles steps up to 30 cm, and reaches 3.7 m/s.

As2 Pricing: Every Configuration

The As2 runs $9,500 to $19,900 and offers a capable step up from the Go2 family at a mid-range price. The platform weighs approx. 20 kg and delivers roughly twice the power performance of the Go2. Here is the full As2 configuration ladder:

Configuration Price (USD)
As2 X $9,500
As2 Edu Standard $11,900
As2 Edu Plus $13,900
As2 Edu Smart $17,900
As2 Edu Ultimate $19,900

Prices last verified August 2026.

B2 and B2-W: Industrial Platforms, Quoted Per Deployment

The B2, its wheeled B2-W variant, and the Fire and Rescue configuration have no public sticker price. These are industrial machines specced around payloads, sensors, autonomy software, and site requirements, so every B2 deployment is quoted individually. The B2 is certified IP67 and can operate submerged, carries up to 120 kg standing (40 kg walking), runs 4 to 6 hours or over 20 km per charge, weighs approx. 60 kg, and operates from -20°C to 55°C (per Unitree user manual). If you are evaluating the B2 for inspection, public safety, or fire service work, request a quote from the product page and we will build pricing around your actual mission.

What the Sticker Price Does Not Include

The list price gets you the robot, its standard battery, charger, and remote. Budget for the ecosystem around it before you commit:

  • Spare batteries. A G1 spare battery is $750 and an H2 spare battery is $3,000. With roughly 2 to 3 hours per charge, most labs buy at least one spare per robot.
  • A gantry. The $850 G1 gantry is close to mandatory for early development work, since it catches the robot when a controller crashes mid-experiment.
  • Hands and end effectors. Dex1-1 grippers run $380, $580, or $1,080 depending on version, and dexterous hands on higher tiers cost far more.
  • Extra sensors. A standalone MID360 LiDAR is $3,800 and an add-on depth camera is $1,200 if your configuration does not already include them.
  • Shipping and taxes. Calculated at quote time based on destination.
  • Engineering time. If you are buying an Edu tier to do real research, the robot is the cheap part. Plan for the graduate students or engineers who will actually program it.

What Actually Drives the Price Up

Unitree pricing forks roughly 3x within each product line, and the fork happens at four gates: the SDK fork (consumer tiers lock out the developer access that Edu tiers unlock), onboard compute (NVIDIA Jetson modules for running AI on the robot), hands (dexterous manipulation hardware), and the data-acquisition tier (teleoperation and data-collection rigs at the top of the range). Which gates you need to pass determines your budget far more than which robot you pick. Our Unitree buyers guide walks through choosing a platform, and the G1 configurations guide maps every G1 tier against these four gates.

  • Development access. Edu tiers unlock the SDK and low-level control that consumer tiers lock out. If you plan to write code for the robot, this is non-negotiable.
  • Onboard compute. Higher tiers add NVIDIA Jetson modules for running perception and AI workloads on the robot itself.
  • Sensors. LiDAR, depth cameras, thermal payloads, and gas detectors each add real cost.
  • Hands and manipulation. Dexterous hands on humanoids are among the most expensive single options.
  • Teleoperation. Full teleop and data-collection rigs sit at the top of the G1 range.
