Unitree A2 Quadruped Robot
Enterprise pricing, payment terms and bulk orders, talk to a robotics specialist.
The Unitree A2 (Stellar Explorer) is the industrial-grade middle of the Unitree quadruped lineup, and its spec sheet earns the word industrial: IP56 ingress protection, a -20°C to 55°C operating range, more than 5 hours and 20 km of unloaded endurance on hot-swappable dual batteries, and a 100 kg standing load. Where a Go2 is a capable platform and a B2 is a heavy deployment, the A2 is the working patrol-and-inspection robot that runs real routes in real weather.
Key Highlights
- IP56-rated (dust-protected, high-pressure water jets), battery pack included in the rating
- Endurance: over 5 h / ~20 km unloaded; over 3 h / ~12.5 km carrying 25 kg

All-Terrain. Tireless.
The A2 runs real patrol routes on hot-swappable dual batteries: over 5 hours and roughly 20 km unloaded, at speeds up to 3.7 m/s. Swap a pack and it keeps going.

Climbs Anything.
It handles slopes up to 45° and steps up to 30 cm, clearing stairs, curbs, and broken ground with a 25 kg walking payload on its back.

Built for the Field.
IP56 weatherized with a -20°C to 55°C operating range, the A2 keeps working in dust, rain, and high-pressure water jets where consumer robots quit.

IP56. 5-Hour Endurance.
Dual hot-swappable 9,000 mAh batteries deliver over 5 hours and about 20 km of endurance per outing, all inside an IP56 dust and water-jet rated body.

FAQs
What kind of lead time should we plan for?
Lead times move with configuration and factory availability. In-stock units ship quickly; factory-configured A2 and A2 Pro builds take longer. We confirm the current lead time with your quote and keep you updated all the way to delivery.
What warranty comes with the A2?
A 12-month manufacturer warranty, serviced through Unitree's authorized US distribution with US-based repair so the robot never has to go overseas. Extended coverage is available; ask when you request your quote.
Do you take purchase orders?
Yes. We provide formal quotes, vendor registration, W-9s, and purchase order terms for verified university, government, and enterprise procurement teams.
Can our team develop software on the A2?
Yes. The A2 ships with an Intel Core i7 user-development computer standard and supports secondary development at both high and low levels, with robot models and simulation interfaces for environments such as Isaac Sim.
Is Unitree NDAA-compliant for government procurement?
No. Unitree robots are manufactured in China and are not NDAA-compliant. That does not affect universities, research labs, or most commercial buyers, but some government agencies have procurement restrictions on Chinese-made robotics. If your agency requires NDAA-compliant equipment, contact us about alternatives before you buy.
Why buy from Global Drone HQ instead of importing directly?
Gray-market imports come with no US warranty support and often without English documentation or firmware support. Our units are sourced through Unitree's authorized US distribution with US-based service, and we back you before and after the sale.
