Most full-size humanoids are sold as research platforms or warehouse labor. The AgiBot A3 is sold as a performer. AgiBot calls it a silicon-based star born for the stage, and the spec sheet backs that up: 55 kg (121 lb) on a 173 cm (5 ft 8 in) frame, 12 kW of instantaneous power, 31 degrees of freedom, up to 10 hours on hot-swappable batteries, and UWB positioning that lets hundreds of units move in formation out of the box. It swept gold, silver and bronze in kickboxing at the World Humanoid Robot Games.
It comes in two configurations. The A3 Standard is the show robot and brand ambassador. The A3 Ultra adds articulated dexterous hands, advanced sensing, NVIDIA Jetson Thor compute and navigation software, and is the version AgiBot deploys as a hotel receptionist, showroom guide and retail associate. This guide covers what the A3 is, what separates the two configurations, how it compares with the A2 Ultra and X2 Ultra, who should buy which, and how US compliance and purchasing work.

What the A3 is
The A3 is AgiBot's 2026 full-size humanoid, and it is positioned differently from everything else in the lineup. The A2 Ultra is a lobby service robot. The X2 is a half-scale platform for booths and classrooms. The A3 is built for an audience: martial arts and dance routines, synchronized swarm performances, brand-ambassador roles with a fully customized shell and a LinkSoul persona that speaks in your brand's voice.
The engineering serves that goal. A magnesium alloy, titanium alloy and TPU body keeps the weight at 55 kg (121 lb), light for a 173 cm (5 ft 8 in) humanoid. Twelve kilowatts of instantaneous power and 150 A of peak current give it a 0.218 kW/kg power-to-weight ratio, which is what makes explosive moves like kicks and jumps possible. Thirty-one degrees of freedom (2 in the head, 7 per arm, 3 in the waist, 6 per leg) give it a waist that twists and a head that turns, both of which matter on stage. The result is a robot that took gold, silver and bronze in the kickboxing event at the World Humanoid Robot Games.
AgiBot also built it to tour. It passed 92 automotive-grade tests, folds into a case that one person can move and that fits in an SUV, loads and unloads from its case on its own, and docks and undocks from its charger autonomously. Designed lifespan is up to 3 years.
Performer
Full-body dance routines, kung fu and kickboxing choreography, aerial moves. LinkCraft is the choreography tool; the entertainment skill kit ships with the Standard.
Hundreds in formation
Standard UWB positioning with single-unit accuracy within +/-10 cm (4 in) enables swarm control of hundreds of units out of the box. One operator, one show.
Ambassador
Full housing customization and a LinkSoul persona with your own knowledge base, wake word, voice and personality. The robot looks and sounds like your brand.
Ultra deployments
The A3 Ultra is the configuration AgiBot runs as a hotel butler and receptionist at Shangri-La Shanghai, a metro station guide, a showroom guide and a retail and auto showroom associate.
A3 Standard vs A3 Ultra
Both configurations share the same body, actuators, battery system, sensors and software base. The Ultra changes the hands, the compute and what the robot can do on its own in a room full of people.
| A3 Standard | A3 Ultra | |
|---|---|---|
| Hands | Silicone clenched-fist hands | Articulated dexterous hands |
| Compute | 2 x Rockchip RK3588 | NVIDIA Jetson Thor |
| Sensing | 2 RGB cameras, 360-degree microphone array, 2 shoulder touch sensors, expression display | Same, plus advanced sensing for navigation and interaction |
| Navigation | Autonomous docking and undocking, lying down and standing up; performance positioning via UWB | Adds navigation software for guiding, greeting and moving through hotel, retail and showroom spaces |
| Software | Motion and interaction stack, proactive greetings, multimodal and facial recognition, customizable knowledge base, wake word, voice and persona, full-body dance, entertainment skill kit; LinkCraft and LinkSoul compatible | Same stack plus the service and navigation layer |
| Best for | Stage performance, events, brand activations, swarm shows | Hotel reception, retail and auto showrooms, exhibitions, metro and venue guidance |

Specs that matter and what they mean
The A3 spec sheet is long. These are the numbers that change what you can do with it.
55 kg and 12 kW. A 55 kg (121 lb) humanoid with 12 kW (about 16 hp) of instantaneous power has a 0.218 kW/kg power-to-weight ratio. Heavier humanoids with similar motors move carefully; this one can kick, jump and recover. Weight also matters off stage: one person can move the folded robot, and it fits in an SUV instead of a van.
31 degrees of freedom. Head 2, each arm 7, waist 3, each leg 6. Seven-DoF arms give human-like reach and gesture. A 3-DoF waist is what lets the robot turn to face someone and bend for a bow. Compare the X2 Ultra at 30 DoF on a 131 cm frame and the A2 Ultra at 40+ DoF with its dexterous hands counted in.
Dual hot-swappable batteries, 1,152 Wh, up to 10 hours. Two detachable full-tab-cell packs, 1,152 Wh total, rated for up to 10 hours of endurance. A pack swaps in about 10 seconds without shutting the robot down, so a show or a shift never stops for charging. Two packs are included; spares are quoted with the robot.
UWB swarm positioning. Ultra-wideband positioning is standard, with single-unit accuracy within +/-10 cm (4 in), and it is what makes synchronized performances of hundreds of units possible out of the box. GPS is also fitted for outdoor positioning.
Shoulder touch and a 360-degree microphone array. Two touch sensors in the shoulders let a guest tap the robot to get its attention. The multi-array microphones localize a voice anywhere around the robot, so it turns toward whoever is speaking in a noisy lobby or exhibition hall. Paired with facial recognition and proactive greeting behaviors, this is the interaction layer buyers notice first.
5G connectivity. eSIM plus physical SIM (M.2 module in overseas markets) means the robot does not depend on venue Wi-Fi. For a touring show or a pop-up, that removes the single most common failure point.
Expression display, speaker and external microphone set. The face is a display, so the persona has a visible expression, and the speaker and external mic set handle front-of-house audio without extra gear.

A3 vs A2 Ultra vs X2 Ultra
AgiBot sells three humanoids in the US lineup that overlap on service and front-of-house work. The A3 Ultra sits between the A2 Ultra and the X2 Ultra, and the right one depends on the job and the room.
| AgiBot A3 | AgiBot A2 Ultra | AgiBot X2 Ultra | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Height | 173 cm (5 ft 8 in) | 169 cm (5 ft 7 in) | 131 cm (4 ft 4 in) |
| Weight | 55 kg (121 lb) | 69 kg (152 lb) | 39 kg (86 lb) |
| Degrees of freedom | 31 | 40+ | 30 |
| Battery | 1,152 Wh, dual hot-swap, up to 10 h | 700 Wh, about 2 h | 500 Wh, about 2 h |
| Best for | Stage performance and swarm shows (Standard); hotel, retail and showroom service (Ultra) | Lobby and reception service, guided tours, high-touch concierge | Trade show booths, classrooms, labs, demos in tight spaces |
| Price | Quote | $69,999 | $42,999 |
Pick the A3 Standard when the robot has to perform. Pick the A3 Ultra when it has to run for a full day without a charging break. Pick the A2 Ultra for a fixed lobby post where its heavier build and 40+ DoF matter more than runtime. Pick the X2 Ultra when a full-size robot is too big for the space or the budget; see X2 vs X2 Ultra.
