Frequently Asked Questions
What is the typical delivery timeline?
It varies with configuration and factory availability. Units in stock ship quickly; builds configured at the factory take longer. When you order or request a quote, we confirm the current lead time and keep you updated until the robot arrives.
What warranty is included?
The R1 Basic ships with a 12-month manufacturer warranty handled through Unitree's authorized US distribution, so repairs happen in the US rather than overseas. Extended coverage is available on request when you ask for a quote.
Can we buy with a purchase order?
Yes. University, government, and enterprise procurement teams are a core part of our business: formal quotes, vendor registration, W-9, and purchase orders for verified institutions.
Does the R1 Basic support programming or an SDK?
Secondary development is an R1 Edu feature, so the R1 Basic does not include SDK access. It is a strong entry platform, but if your goal is writing and deploying your own code, choose the R1 Edu Smart or R1 Edu Pro.
Is it safe for a lab or classroom setting?
Yes, with the right setup. The R1 Basic is intended for operators 18 and up, needs a clear and dry indoor operating area, and the included support-stand kit should be used during early development while operators build experience.
Why not just import one directly?
Direct gray-market imports arrive with no US warranty support and frequently lack English documentation or firmware support. Our robots are sourced through Unitree's authorized US distribution with US-based service, and we stand behind the sale before and after delivery.
