AgiBot OmniHand 3 Lite-S Dexterous Hand

The OmniHand 3 Lite-S is the small end of AgiBot's third-generation hand line. It measures 140 x 70 x 32 mm (5.5 x 2.8 x 1.3 in), roughly the size of a computer mouse, and weighs 350 g (12.3 oz). That combination is the point of the product. Half-scale humanoids, mobile manipulators and benchtop development arms usually have to settle for a two-finger gripper because a full-size dexterous hand will not fit the wrist or the payload budget. The Lite-S fits.

It is a 4 active plus 7 passive degree-of-freedom design, so the fingers conform to an object rather than being driven joint by joint. Rated stable grasping is 1 kg (2.2 lb), repeatability is 0.5 mm (0.02 in), and it runs on 24 V with a 1 A rated draw. Communication is CAN-FD or RS485, both wired. Firmware updates are delivered over the air.

Key Highlights

• 350 g (12.3 oz) at 140 x 70 x 32 mm (5.5 x 2.8 x 1.3 in), small enough for half-scale humanoids, mobile manipulators and compact service robots.
• 4 active plus 7 passive degrees of freedom, which gives conforming multi-finger grasps without a motor on every joint.
• 1 kg (2.2 lb) stable grasping payload and 0.5 mm (0.02 in) repeatability.
• 24 V operation across an 18 to 30 V range, 1 A rated and 3 A peak, so it runs off most robot power rails without a dedicated supply.
• CAN-FD and RS485 communication, wired rather than wireless, which keeps integration and site approval simple.
• Over-the-air firmware upgrades supported.
• Rated minus 10 to 45 degrees C (14 to 113 degrees F) operating temperature.
• Aerospace-grade metal frame with a one-piece silicone overmold, validated through impact, drop and collision testing per the manufacturer brochure.
• Dex-UMI compatible with an open-source kit and toolchain, per the manufacturer brochure.

AgiBot OmniHand 3 Lite-S Specs

Lite-S specifications supplied by the merchant, September 12, 2026. The opening and closing time, the metal frame and silicone overmold detail, and the Dex-UMI and ROS 2 compatibility line come from the manufacturer OmniHand 3 Lite brochure, which covers the Lite family rather than the Lite-S configuration specifically. The brochure states weight as 350 g and repeatability as plus or minus 0.5 mm; the merchant sheet states 350 g or less and 0.5 mm. Confirm with us before you design to the limit.

No radio, no FCC grant required. The Lite-S communicates over wired CAN-FD or RS485. There is no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cellular module in the hand, so the FCC equipment authorization rules that apply to mobile robots do not apply here.

Built For

• Half-scale and desktop humanoid platforms that cannot carry a full-size hand
• Mobile manipulators doing inspection, delivery and last-mile handling
• University teaching labs and robotics competition teams
• Prototyping and developer programs where unit cost decides how many you can buy
• Service robots in hospitality, healthcare and food service
• Dex-UMI data collection setups

Good to Know

• Prices are per hand. Choose Left or Right for a single hand, or Both hands for a matched pair at double the single-hand price.
• This is a pre-order. We confirm the delivery date in writing on your quote, before we take payment.
• The Lite-S has no force or tactile sensing. If you need contact feedback, look at the Ultra-M or the Tactile version of the 2025-generation OmniHand.
• Mounting is not universal. Tell us which robot or arm you are fitting and we will confirm the wrist interface before quoting.
• Communication is CAN-FD or RS485, so plan for a wired bus on your platform.

How Purchasing Works

Tell us the side, the quantity of hands and which robot or arm they are mounting to, and we return a formal written quote, typically the same or next business day. This hand is a pre-order item, and the delivery date is confirmed in writing on your quote. We work with universities, research institutions and enterprise buyers, and we accept tax-exempt purchasing with a valid certificate on file.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the AgiBot OmniHand 3 Lite-S cost?
$999 per hand. A matched left and right pair is $1,998.

How is the Lite-S different from the 2025 OmniHand?
Different generation and a different job. The 2025-generation OmniHand is a 16 degree-of-freedom, 510 g hand that grips 5 kg or more and starts at $4,999. The OmniHand 3 Lite-S is a 350 g hand with 4 active plus 7 passive degrees of freedom and a 1 kg stable grasping payload, built to fit platforms a full-size hand cannot.

How much can it hold?
1 kg (2.2 lb) stable grasping.

Does it have tactile sensing?
No. The Lite-S is position-controlled with no force sensing listed in its specifications.

How does it communicate?
CAN-FD or RS485, both wired. Firmware updates are over the air.

Does it need FCC authorization?
No. The hand has no radio, so the equipment authorization rules that govern robots with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cellular radios do not apply to it.

Can I buy just one hand?
Yes. Each hand is sold singly as a left or a right at $999. Choose Both hands for a matched pair.

When does it ship?
It is a pre-order. The delivery date is confirmed in writing on your quote, before we take payment.

Do you offer tax-exempt purchasing?
Yes. We work with universities and research institutions regularly and accept tax-exempt purchasing with a valid certificate on file.
