Faster than the Pro, over the same rough ground.

The Go2 X runs 0 to 3.7 m/s (8.3 mph) on twelve aluminium alloy joint motors, with a lab-measured ceiling around 5 m/s (11.2 mph), and carries about 8 kg (18 lb) with a maximum around 12 kg (26 lb). Slopes to about 40° and steps around 16 cm (6.3 in) are the same as the rest of the family; loose river rock is where the legs earn their keep.

Dig Deeper

Perception and Intelligence
  • Unitree 4D LiDAR L2 scanning 360° by 96°, ultra-wide-angle with a very small blind spot.
  • Intelligent obstacle avoidance that keeps the robot moving rather than halting at every obstruction.
  • Intelligent Side-follow System (ISS 2.0) with wireless vector positioning and a remote range over 30 m (98 ft).
  • Wide-angle HD front camera with photo and video capture from the Unitree Go app.
  • Voice interaction, condition indication and intelligent OTA updates, so the robot gains skills after you buy it.
Movement and Terrain
  • 12 degrees of freedom on precision aluminium alloy joint motors, about 45 N·m (33 lb·ft) peak joint torque, with an extra-large joint movement range on the X.
  • 0 to 3.7 m/s (0 to 8.3 mph) on flat ground, about 5 m/s (11.2 mph) maximum measured in the lab.
  • About 8 kg (18 lb) payload, with a maximum around 12 kg (26 lb).
  • Slopes to about 40° and steps around 16 cm (6.3 in).
  • 70 x 31 x 40 cm (27.6 x 12.2 x 15.7 in) standing at about 15 kg (33 lb), so one person carries it.
Development, Power and Honest Limits
  • Secondary development is partial on the X. Unitree's function table marks it as limited, offered over a cable connection. Foot-end force sensors, the depth camera, the Jetson Orin compute module and the full low-level SDK are Go2 Edu features.
  • 8,000 mAh swappable intelligent battery giving roughly 1 to 2 hours. Order a spare if you are running a full day.
  • Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and built-in 4G image transmission with GPS for remote operation beyond local network range.
  • Rated 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F), and it is not waterproof or dustproof. This is a dry-conditions machine.
  • Recommended for ages 14 and up. For wash-down, rain, dust or sub-freezing work, the industrial A2 is the correct machine, not a Go2.

FAQs

Is the Go2 X authorized for use in the US?

Yes. It is covered by Unitree's US equipment authorization under grantee YuShu Technology Co., Ltd., FCC ID 2A5PE-YUSHU006, verifiable at apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas. FCC equipment authorization is separate from NDAA procurement eligibility, so if you are buying under a federal procurement rule, check that separately with us first.

How long does it run on a charge?

About 1 to 2 hours on the 8,000 mAh swappable intelligent battery, the same pack as the Go2 Pro. The battery changes out in seconds, so most owners running demonstrations or a full teaching day simply buy a second pack.

How is the Go2 X different from the Go2 Pro and the Go2 Edu?

Against the Pro you get a higher top speed, 3.7 m/s (8.3 mph) with a lab ceiling near 5 m/s (11.2 mph), a higher maximum payload around 12 kg (26 lb), a wider joint range and limited secondary development. The Edu goes further with a 15,000 mAh battery for 2 to 4 hours, foot-end force sensors, a depth camera, optional Jetson Orin compute and the full developer SDK.

Can I write my own code for it?

Partly. Unitree lists secondary development on the X as limited, through a cable connection, which is enough for tinkering and coursework built on the high-level interface. If you need low-level joint control, ROS 2 workflows, force sensing or onboard compute for your own perception stack, the Go2 Edu is the correct purchase and we will say so.

Can I use it outside in the rain?

No. The Go2 X is not waterproof or dustproof and is rated 5°C to 35°C (41°F to 95°F). It is happy on gravel, grass, stairs and trails in dry conditions. For wet, dusty or freezing environments you want the industrial A2 instead, and we will tell you that rather than sell you the wrong robot.

Do you accept purchase orders?

Yes. We work with school districts, universities and public agencies regularly and accept purchase orders and tax-exempt purchasing. Tell us what your procurement office needs and we will format the quote to match.
