Athletic Configuration
  • 25 degrees of freedom, tuned for dynamic athletic motion.

  • Rated 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) and not waterproof or dustproof. Indoor and dry conditions.
  • About 3 kg (6.6 lb) per arm, and Unitree notes arm load varies considerably with how far the arm is extended.
  • Operators 18 and up. Unitree recommends a protective frame and suspension rope during startup and extended standing.
  • 18 month warranty period per Unitree, handled in the US through Toborlife.
  • Competition use is hard on hardware. Budget for spare batteries and consumables, and expect more service than a lab unit needs.

Is this configuration authorized for use in the US?

Yes. The G1 family is covered by Unitree's US equipment authorization under grantee YuShu Technology Co., Ltd., FCC ID 2A5PE-YUSHU008, verifiable at apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas. FCC equipment authorization is separate from NDAA procurement eligibility, so if you are buying under a federal procurement rule, check that with us separately before you order.

How long does it run on a charge?

About 2 hours on the 9,000 mAh quick-release smart battery. The pack changes out without tools, so teams running a full day usually buy a second one.

How is the G1-Comp different from the Edu Standard and the Edu Combat?

The Edu Standard is the general research build at 23 to 43 degrees of freedom with the full SDK and an expansion path. The G1-Comp is 25 degrees of freedom tuned for athletic motion, with Jetson Orin NX and YOLO11 ball detection built in for sports work. The Edu Combat is 29 degrees of freedom tuned for contact, with check hands.

How much can the arms carry, and does it do manipulation?

About 3 kg (6.6 lb) per arm, but the G1-Comp ships with dummy hands and is not the manipulation build. If grasping is the point of your program, look at the G1 Edu Pro or Edu Ultimate instead and we will say so.

Can I run it outdoors or in a dusty space?

It is rated 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) and it is not waterproof or dustproof. Dry pavement and indoor floors are fine. Rain, wash-down areas and dusty industrial sites are not, and we would rather tell you that now than replace a robot later.
